Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said yesterday that his country is moving forward with its plans to build a nuclear reactor.
Speaking during a ceremony of energy sector investments in the capital Ankara, Erdogan accused unnamed circles of working to undermine Turkey’s energy activity.
The Turkish president stressed that efforts to undermine his country’s energy activities would be in vain.
Erdogan stressed that Turkey’s national energy and mining policies are an important driving force contributing to achieving the country’s objectives in the coming years.
Turkey is currently building a nuclear power plant in the southern state of Mersin. The project will cost about $20 billion and will contribute to enhancing energy security in Turkey and creating new jobs.
