The distributions will happen every Thursday in the parking lots of several schools

MICHELLE? MICHELLE: POTATOES, CARROTS, APPLES, PEARS. THESE ARE SOME OF THE ITEMS PITTSBURGH PUBLIC SCHOOL FAMILIES MIGHT RECEIVE WENT WEEKLY PRODUCE DISTRIBUTIONS KICKOFF TODAY. THERE HAVE BEEN AS PART OF A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN THE DISTRICT AND PARAGON FOODS AND WILL HAPPEN EVERY THURSDAY FOR THE NEXT SIX MONTHS. TAKE A LOOK AT YOUR SCREEN. THE DISTRIBUTIONS ARE HAPPENING AT THESE FIVE SCHOOLS. FAMILIES CAN BEGIN LINING UP AT 10:00 A.M. IF YOU CANNOT PARTICIPATE WITH A VEHICLE, YOU ARE URGED TO CALL THE FOOD

The distributions will happen every Thursday in the parking lots of several schools

Pittsburgh Public Schools families will be able to receive produce every week thanks to a partnership between the district and Paragon Foods.Each week for the next six months, Paragon Foods will distribute a bag of fruits and vegetables in the parking lots of these five schools:Pittsburgh Carmalt: 1550 Breining Street – 15226Pittsburgh Faison: 7430 Tioga Street – 15208Pittsburgh Gifted Center: 1400 Crucible Street – 15205Pittsburgh Milliones (UPrep): 3117 Centre Avenue – 15219Pittsburgh Perry: 3875 Perrysville Avenue – 15214The boxes of produce may include potatoes, onions, carrots, and sweet potatoes, apples, pears, oranges, blueberries, strawberries and tomatoes.Families are allowed to line up at the locations starting at 10 a.m., with food being placed in their vehicles between 10 a.m. and noon.The food is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.Any family in need who cannot participate with a vehicle should contact The Great Pittsburgh Community Food Bank at 412-460-3663 ext. 665 or Dial 2-1-1.
