Pittsburgh Public Schools families will be able to receive produce every week thanks to a partnership between the district and Paragon Foods.
Each week for the next six months, Paragon Foods will distribute a bag of fruits and vegetables in the parking lots of these five schools:

Pittsburgh Faison: 7430 Tioga Street – 15208
Pittsburgh Gifted Center: 1400 Crucible Street – 15205
Pittsburgh Milliones (UPrep): 3117 Centre Avenue – 15219
Pittsburgh Perry: 3875 Perrysville Avenue – 15214
The boxes of produce may include potatoes, onions, carrots, and sweet potatoes, apples, pears, oranges, blueberries, strawberries and tomatoes.
Families are allowed to line up at the locations starting at 10 a.m., with food being placed in their vehicles between 10 a.m. and noon.
The food is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Any family in need who cannot participate with a vehicle should contact The Great Pittsburgh Community Food Bank at 412-460-3663 ext. 665 or Dial 2-1-1.
