DOE Selects 14 Small Businesses for Facility Decommissioning Services

Fourteen small businesses have secured spots on a 10-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management to provide facility deactivation, decommissioning and removal services.

The contractors will help decommission government facilities managed by EM, the National Nuclear Security Administration, the Office of Naval Reactors and the Office of Science, DOE said Thursday.

The IDIQ is potentially worth $2 billion, according to a SAM.gov posting.

  • TerranearPMC

North Wind Portage secured $18.6 million in initial task order to provide environmental monitoring, surveillance and maintenance and project support activities at the EM Energy Technology Engineering Center site.

According to the solicitation notice, the DD&R contract also covers support services at the Santa Susana Field Laboratory’s Area IV.
