Missing Nashua woman found dead in Westford, Massachusetts
A woman from Nashua who was reported missing has been found dead in Massachusetts.
Police announced just before 3 p.m. Friday that Margaret Hammersley, 73, was found dead in Forge Pond, along the wood line near the Groton town line.
"The Westford Police Department sends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Margaret Hammersley and asks that members of the public and media respect the family’s privacy during this tragic time," police wrote in a post on Facebook.
Hammersley was reported missing Thursday.

Police said while Hammersley had no known connection to the Westford area, her vehicle was found unoccupied in a parking lot along Pleasant Street on Thursday evening.
Investigators began searching for her Thursday night and resumed the search Friday morning.
Several agencies assisted in the search. Investigators used K-9s, drones and helicopters.
