Nebraska man injured in crash late Thursday in Jeff County
PERRY, Kan. (WIBW) - A man was taken to an area hospital following a single-vehicle crash late Thursday in Jefferson County, authorities said.
The crash was reported at 10:10 p.m. Thursday on northbound Lecompton Road and US-24 highway, on the northeast side of Perry.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2021 Nissan Altima car was headed north on Lecompton Road when the driver failed to stop at the stop sign at US-24. The car then crossed both lanes of US-24 before ending up on the north side of the highway.
The driver, Ryan D. Rockenbach, 24, of Crete, Neb., was transported to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka with suspected minor injuries.
The patrol said Rockenbach, who was alone in the car, was wearing his seat belt.
