CLEVELAND, Ohio. (WNEM) - In less than 24 hours, Michigan State will continue their NCAA Tournament journey.

After securing a 25-point victory over Bryant on Friday, the Spartans will now take on 10-seed New Mexico at 8:40 p.m.

Under Tom Izzo, Michigan State is 15-5 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. This is only the third meeting between these two teams and the first since 1985. MSU has won both previous meetings.

Just like the Spartans, the Lobos won their conference regular season title.

New Mexico went 17-3 in the Mountain West and are led by the Mountain West Player of the Year, Donovan Dent. He’s currently averaging over 20 points per game for the Lobos.

At this moment, Michigan State is favored by 7-and-a-half points.
