Milhaus and Banyan Residential have opened Northbend, a new 310-unit luxury apartment building in north Tempe.
The building at 906 N. Miller Road “represents our commitment to creating fun, innovative communities that enhance the local landscape,” said Brad Vogelsmeier, Milhaus vice president of development.
Milhaus donated $1,000 to the Tempe Community Action Agency to mark its grand opening.
“The Phoenix market’s rapid growth presents a tremendous opportunity to meet rising housing demand. Since 2019, we’ve developed or acquired over 2,500 units and 250,000 square feet of office space in this dynamic region,” said Max Friedman, a partner at Banyan Residential.
“We’re eager to continue our expansion in the Phoenix metro area and strengthen our partnership with Milhaus, delivering high-quality communities like Northbend to meet the evolving needs of residents.”
He said Northbend “breathes new life into north Tempe’s industrial district, transforming the area into a vibrant neighborhood.”
Milhaus, a national award-winning developer, owner, and operator of Class-A multifamily properties, partnered with Banyan Residential, a private real estate investment firm specializing in ground-up development, to create Northbend.
It is Milhaus’ second apartment building in Tempe, following Nollie, with a third one set to open soon in Phoenix.
The building touts its Trading Post, where residents can borrow kayaks, paddleboards, and camping gear.
The building has a mix of unit sizes from studios to four bedrooms.
It also boasts a pool deck, grill stations, outdoor spa, commercial-grade fitness center, clubhouse with work and entertainment areas, an on-site library, and a dog park. The property welcomes all dog breeds with no restrictions for renters.
