Oklahoma Baseball vs Louisiana Tech

Senior catcher Scott Mudler during the game against Louisiana Tech on March 12.

Senior catcher Scott Mudler left Sunday’s game against Mississippi State in the second inning due to an injury while stealing second base.

Mudler started Sunday’s game at catcher, and junior catcher Easton Carmichael started at designated hitter. Carmichael moved to catcher in the third inning.

The Sooners also have freshman Cole Hansen as an option at catcher, but head coach Skip Johnson would like to maintain his redshirt.

Coming into Sunday, Mudler sported a .250 batting average with one home run and 19 runs in 13 games.
