ALTON—A 58-year-old South Sioux City, NE, man was arrested about 12:05 a.m. Sunday, March 23, near Alton on charges of second-offense operating while under the influence and driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway.
The arrest of Randy Tighe stemmed from the stop of a 2015 Dodge Journey for driving on the wrong side of 470th Street near Jay Avenue about two miles southeast of Alton, according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
Tighe had bloodshot/watery eyes, impaired balance and the odor of an alcoholic beverage and failed field sobriety tests.
He admitted to consuming alcohol, according to the incident report.
