A domestic dispute in Wright Township led to the discovery of severe child abuse, resulting in the arrest and extradition of a woman from Tennessee to Pennsylvania.

A Wright Township Officer responded to an incident back in November involving 20-year-old Jazmine Clapper and her boyfriend.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Clapper had been abusive toward their 4-month-old son. The child's father informed police that he had previously contacted Luzerne County Children and Youth Services due to Clapper's violent behavior toward their son.

A medical examination ordered by Luzerne County Children and Youth Services revealed the infant had a skull fracture with brain bleeding, as well as a fractured finger and heel. Consequently, a Protection From Abuse Order was issued, prohibiting Clapper from contacting her child and the child's father.

Clapper was charged with multiple offenses, including Endangering the Welfare of Children, Aggravated Assault, and Simple Assault.

She fled to Tennessee, where she was apprehended by the Celina Police Department on March 19 and held at the Overton County Sheriff's Department Facility.

On March 24, officers from the Wright Township and Rice Township Police Departments transported Clapper back to Pennsylvania.

Clapper was arraigned and is currently being held without bail, awaiting a preliminary hearing.
