The first pitch for LSU baseball's matchup against Mississippi State at Alex Box Stadium on Friday has been pushed back to 9:05 p.m.
The game was scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Inclement weather in Baton Rouge on Friday evening forced the delay.
Junior right-hander Anthony Eyanson is slated to start for LSU on the mound. For Mississippi State, left-hander Pico Kohn will take the bump.
LSU won the first game of the three game series 8-6 on Thursday. The Tigers trailed 6-2 entering the bottom of the fifth inning but scored five runs on a three-run home run from junior Daniel Dickinson and a two-run homer from sophomore Steven Milam to take a 7-6 lead.
Junior right-handed reliever Zac Cowan then entered the game in the sixth inning and threw four shutout innings.
The win improved LSU's record in Southeastern Conference play to 5-2. The Tigers began conference play with a sweep over Missouri before losing two of three games to Texas in Austin last weekend.
