Two teenagers dead after rollover crash in Kentucky
A second teenager has died following a rollover crash in Hardin County that left two others injured early Saturday morning.
Early Sunday morning, the Jefferson County coroner's office confirmed 17-year-old Gerald Lyon, who was driving the vehicle, died Saturday evening at UofL Hospital.
The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. Saturday on St. John Road.
A preliminary investigation found that Lyon lost control of the car, causing it to go off the roadway and roll several times.
Investigators have also confirmed that 16-year-old Tristen Shrouder, who was riding in the front seat, was the person who died at the scene after being ejected from the car during the crash.
Two other teens were in the back seat at the time of the crash and received minor injuries.
The Hardin County Sheriff's Office Reconstruction Unit is still working to figure out what caused the crash.
