M/G Transport Services, a provider of inland barge transportation services, has made recent changes to its leadership team.

Terence Gomez has been promoted to president. Gomez has worked with M/G since 2013, serving as vice president of operations and chief operating officer. He has been in the transportation industry since 1978, with Agri-Trans Corporation and AEP River Operations.

Mark Czarnecki has been promoted to executive vice president and chief commercial officer. Czarnecki joined the company in 2017 as vice president of sales. He has worked in the maritime industry for 45 years.

Benjamin Amoss was promoted to chief financial officer, two years after being hired as financial planning and analysis manager. He has more than a decade of financial experience in the automotive and renewable energy industries.

Pete Norgeot is retiring from his job as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Entergy, effective May 1.

Norgeot has been with the utility company since 2014. He spent nearly four decades leading company operations, power generation, commercial management and large-scale development teams.

Kimberly Cook-Nelson will take over as COO. She serves as executive vice president and chief nuclear officer for Entergy, overseeing four nuclear power plants and five reactors. Cook-Nelson has been with Entergy since 1996, starting off as a design engineer, before moving over to plant leadership in 2001.

She earned a bachelor's in mechanical engineering, a master's in engineering management and a master's in business administration, all from the University of New Orleans.

John Dinelli, senior vice president and chief operating officer for Entergy's nuclear operations will be promoted to executive vice president and chief nuclear officer.

Dinelli started working with Entergy in 1991 as an engineering intern at the Indian Point Energy Center. He has served as chief operating officer for Entergy's nuclear business since 2021

He earned a bachelor's in mechanical engineering from Manhattan College.

Baton Rouge

Bart Folse has been named chief executive officer of the Louisiana Independent Hospital Network Coalition.

The group is a collaborative of more than 25 independent Louisiana hospitals and providers that are not affiliated with large systems.

Folse spent the past four years as chief operating officer at Bayou Bend Health System, formerly Franklin Foundation Hospital. He is the founder and lead consultant at Group 213 Strategy Partners.

He earned a bachelor's in allied health sciences and a master's in business administration, both from Nicholls State University.

Brent Toups has been hired as vice president, sales manager for LUBA Casualty Insurance Co.

Toups has more than 25 years of experience in workers' compensation insurance, most recently as assistant vice president of insurance operations at CompSource Mutual.

He earned a bachelor's in accounting and a master's in business administration, both from Nicholls State University.

Jeff Skaggs has been promoted to senior vice president of underwriting and loss control for LUBA.

Skaggs has been with the company since 2022. He has more than 38 years of industry experience, including serving as regional vice president of Texas Mutual.

He earned a bachelor's in government and politics from the University of Texas at Dallas and a master's in leadership and human resource development from LSU.

Drew Johnson has joined Carson Group as a partner to open ThrivePoint Capital, a wealth advisory firm in Prairieville.

Johnson has 15 years of experience as a financial planner. He was previously with Ameriprise.
