Reward upped to $20,000 for man accused of threatening Trump, war hero Dakota Meyer
Federal authorities have upped the reward to $20,000 for information leading to the arrest of a Pennsylvania man accused of having threatened President Donald Trump and Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer.
Shawn Christy, 27, of McAdoo, is also wanted in Pennsylvania on arrest warrants for burglary, probation violation and failure to appear for an aggravated assault case.
Officials say Christy has threatened to use "full lethal force on any law enforcement officer that tries to detain me." A federal warrant was issued June 19 for Christy in relation to Facebook threats against Northampton County's district attorney.
Christy was reportedly spotted in Adair County, Kentucky, earlier this month.
Police said Christy kicked in the front door at a home on Brockman Keltner Road belonging to Meyer's brother, Timothy Gilliam, on Aug. 9. Gilliam showed state troopers surveillance video that showed Christy on the property. Christy reportedly stole food and an SUV from the residence.
The U.S. Marshals service, the FBI and the U.S. Secret Service are asking for help from the public but warn that Christy should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information about Christy's whereabouts is asked to contact the U.S. Marshals at 1-877-Wanted-2 (1-877-926-8332) or the FBI at 215-418-4000.
